August is action-packed at Riverwalk Arts & Entertainment District, where activities from an Off-Broadway hit, to special tours and packages, to intriguing lectures abound. Both locals and visitors will enjoy all of the red-hot fun at The District this month! Check out a few of the happenings at The District this month:

The District’s Waterful Tours, available now through Oct. 29, 2017, showcase the art, history and charm of downtown Fort Lauderdale via water. Guests select two of three premier cultural sites; enjoy one all-day, hop on, hop off Water Taxi pass; receive a savings book from Galleria Mall, and much more at a 42 percent savings off regular pricing. $38 per adult, $20 per child aged 6–12; free for children 5 and under.

What’s better than a special deal on an Off-Broadway show? Use the promo code BRAINY for 50 percent off tickets (the regular ticket price is $50 per ticket.)

On Saturday, Aug. 5, from 11 a.m.–2 p.m., multimedia artist Jen Clay will show her work at Bad Space in Fort Lauderdale during “Inside the Artist’s Studio: Jen Clay.” The activity includes round-trip transportation to and from NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale. Clay’s work is influenced by children’s educational TV shows, and she explores how these shows use “edutainment” and applied behavior analysis to encourage learning and curiosity. Free for members; $10 for non-members. RSVP required.
