From “spiritful” Halloween tours to “Tarzan” The Stage Musical to a reverse painting class, October’s events at Riverwalk Arts & Entertainment District are certain to intrigue you! Check out just a few of these events below:

What would October be without an autumn wine tasting? On Thursday, Oct. 5 from 6–8 p.m., NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale’s Art of Wine & Food Series will present “Bootiful Wine,” the October program of its interactive and lively monthly wine series. $40 per person.

You can fly, you can fly, you can fly (with fun, that is) at the Peter Pan Pirate Party on Saturday, Oct. 14 at the Historic Stranahan House! From 11 a.m.–12:30 p.m., Peter Pan, Wendy and the Lost Boys will present a magical afternoon along the New River. $20 includes one child and one adult; additional guests $15 each.

Also on Saturday, Oct. 14, at 11 a.m., take a trip back in history with the Mid-Century Bus Tour, offered by Fort Lauderdale Historical Society. Departing from Mai-Kai Restaurant, the architectural tour will journey through Broward’s mid-century modern community. $45 per person.

“Tarzan”: The Stage Musical is certain to be in your heart, once you take in this incredible performance on the Broward Center for the Performing Arts stage. From Thursday, Oct. 19–Sunday, Nov. 5 (matinee and evening performances), “Tarzan”: The Stage Musical features heart-pumping music by rock legend Phil Collins. $40–$60 per ticket.

What is reverse glass painting? Find out on Monday, Oct. 23 from 10 a.m.–2 p.m. at Bonnet House Museum & Gardens. During the Reverse Glass Painting Class, students will paint several glass plates and an 8×10 piece of glass. Perfect for all skill levels. $135 per person.

Prepare yourself for a spooky yet captivating adventure at the Spirit of Stranahan House Halloween Tours, Friday-Monday, Oct. 27–30, 7 p.m. Guided by authentic Victorian mourners, the tour will tell the secrets of the spirits who linger within the Stranahan House. $25 per person.

Don’t miss out on The District’s Waterful Tour and My Heart is Set on Sunrise package, which both end in October:

Waterful Tours, available now through Oct. 29. Showcasing the art, history and charm of downtown Fort Lauderdale via water, these tours are unforgettable. If you’re planning ahead, be sure to look into Florida Grand Opera’s 77th season and its spectacular Broward Center series, which kicks off with Gaetano Donizetti’s “Lucia di Lammermoor” on Thursday, Nov. 30 and Saturday, Dec. 2.
