Join the wedding fun at “Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding” at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, running Thursday, April 4–Sunday, April 14 during matinee and evening performances. New York’s longest-running Off-Broadway comedy, the interactive event is filled with great music, laugher, food and love. Get ready to eat, drink, dance, converse and have a memorable experience during this show. $67.50–$77.50 per ticket.
Orchids, tropical plants, food vendors, libations, a steel drum band and much more are in store at Bonnet House Museum & Gardens’ Saturday, April 6–Sunday, April 7, 12th Annual International Orchid & Garden Festival. Taking place from 9 a.m.–4 p.m. each day, this inspirational event is priced at $10 per person. Parking is free.
Happening on the second Thursday of this month only (typically on the first Thursday), the April 11, 4–8 p.m. Free First Thursdays Starry Nights at NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale features free museum admission, hands-on activities for all ages, and 2-for-1 drink specials. Free.
Perfect for children of all ages, the Saturday, April 27 Mowgli’s Jungle Adventure at Historic Stranahan House Museum is a family-centric event. Taking place from 10:30 a.m.–noon, the adventure will feature jungle-themed crafts, interactive storytelling and snacks. $20 per one adult and child; $15 for each additional adult.
Celebrate the Forman family, who are Broward County pioneers and early developers; Fort Lauderdale Commissioner District No. 2 Steven Glassman; and the city’s 108th birthday at History Fort Lauderdale’s Tuesday, April 30 History Makers 2019 Fundraiser, starting at 6 p.m. The event will feature cocktails, food stations and entertainment on the downtown Fort Lauderdale campus. $100 per person.
Listen to the iconic tunes of Queen at the Tuesday, April 30 “One Night of Queen” performed by Gary Mullen and The Works, on Tuesday, April 30 at 8 p.m. at Parker Playhouse. Known for their amazingly convincing shows, Gary Mullen and The Works entertain with a stunning performance. $38–$58 per ticket.
