On a beautiful autumn day, there is so much to explore at the Riverwalk Arts & Entertainment District — but where do you begin? No worries … we are here to help! We at The District are happy to have put together a fantastic fall itinerary, perfect for you, whether you’re a visitor or local. Enjoy the intriguing culture of Fort Lauderdale, from delightful shopping to memorable museums; from incredible entertainment to fabulous dining.

We’ve even prepared a packing list for you with a few suggested items from a local shop that will have you looking “Fort Lauderdale-ready” from day to night. This time, we went to our friends at Etiquette Boutique, where you can receive Etiquette Bucks toward your next purchase. Just be sure to mention Riverwalk A&E.

A great way to traverse the city is in the Sun Trolley, which operates seven routes in downtown Fort Lauderdale. You can get on and get off at your leisure, making Sun Trolley an easy and fun way to explore the area.

Love the beauty of the outdoors? You can check out the iconic estate and lush tropical grounds at Bonnet House Museum & Gardens (ranked as a “Must See” attraction in the city by TripAdvisor). Whether you’re a history buff or would simply like to learn about Fort Lauderdale’s past, you can also visit the Fort Lauderdale Historical Society — it features the city’s first inn, pioneer home, replica schoolhouse and research library. Both museums offer guided tours.

Of course, you must grab a bite of lunch on the stylish Las Olas Boulevard! While there are endless amazing restaurants on Las Olas, our recommendations include YOLO, Grille 401, The Royal Pig Pub and Thursdays Fort Lauderdale.

Take a short stroll to another captivating museum, the Historic Stranahan House. It’s a quaint turn-of-the-century home which served as the original trading post for early pioneers and Seminole Indians. Docent-led tours take place daily at 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.

What would a day in The District be without a fun-filled night out? Try NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale’s Free First Thursday Starry Nights, where you can indulge in mesmerizing art, wine and beer specials, light bites and more. Or, take in a performance at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts or Parker Playhouse.

At The District, we’ve got you covered with great ways to discover the shopping, culture, entertainment and dining of this beautiful destination. All you have to do is take a day, relax, and soak it all in!
