In the late nineteenth century, artists challenged prevailing art academy traditions by making their own ideas and feelings subjects of their work. This lecture will explore this phenomenon in the work of William Glackens, other artists of The Eight, Georgia O’Keeffe and the Stieglitz Circle. Cost is $10 per person, includes museum admission.
