Stranahan Stories: Frank Stranahan and the Trading Post

Explore how Fort Lauderdale founding father Frank Stranahan operated his trading post business at the turn of the 20th century. The lecture will share stories of the pioneer settlement that pre-dated Fort Lauderdale in the late 1890s. The program will be presented by Stranahan House Education & Programs Coordinator Jonathan Axler. Jonathan has a degree in history from Florida Atlantic University and has created interactive educational programs for children at the Historic Stranahan House Museum, as well as worked at Flamingo Gardens and the Plantation Historical Museum. No advance registration required. After the program, enjoy 2-for-1 museum tour pricing for guided house tours at 1, 2, or 3 p.m.
