Cruisin’ Down the River: Prohibition Era — The History of Fort Lauderdale’s Rum Runners

Guests attending Bonnet House’s “Cruisin’ Down The River” program will travel the New River in style. Experience a boat ride aboard the famous “Carrie B” paddlewheel boat to learn about the fascinating history of Fort Lauderdale’s legendary rum runners. The featured speaker will be Stephen Draft, former Bonnet House curator, and exciting live music will be performed by the Gold Coast Banjo Band. Hear whimsical tales about the history of Fort Lauderdale’s New River. Cruise embarkation begins at 4:45 p.m. at 440 North New River Drive East, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301
