From May Day to Memorial Day Weekend, May is a month that highlights mild sunny days and celebrations galore. This month, we pay special tribute to the women who helped guide us along our path. Whether it’s a mom, grannie, aunt, sister, wife or best friend, The District’s Girlfriends & Glamour Getaway Package, with a stay at the elegant Riverside Hotel and tickets to the NSU Art Museum, might be the perfect way to celebrate that special lady. Perhaps, mom might also like a day of arts & crafts at the Historical Society, or a special workshop on gardening for birds & butterflies at the Bonnet House, to help her indulge her love for all things flora. Consider treating her to a night at the opera to see Verdi’s spectacle of “A Masked Ball,” or inviting her to “Let it Go” and be a little “Wicked” with a special performance by Idina Menzel at the Broward Center. Even better, why not try them all, and the many more in store for you this month. Whatever you choose, and whomever you celebrate, one thing is certain, it will be a May-velous month at the Riverwalk A&E District!
