It’s January in The District! While other parts of the country may be suffering from post-holiday blues and very chilly temperatures, the only thing we are saying in beautiful Fort Lauderdale is … Brrr-ing on the action; it’s getting fun down here! To recover from the holiday season, you will want to head over to Stranahan House for its annual Holiday Hangover party. After that, enlighten your mind with a lecture and book signing with NASA scientist Martha Lemasters, delight in the glorious January weather by taking in a Concert Under the Stars, and check out the SongFest series presented by Florida Grand Opera’s Young Artists. If you want something fresh, then you won’t want to miss GRAMMY Award®-winning rapper, singer and songwriter Nelly, backed by a full symphony as they perform his chart-topping hits. So baby, it may still be cold where you are, but here in The District, we are sizzling hot!
