Late Nite Catechism Las Vegas: Sister Rolls the Dice!

Late Nite Catechism: Sister Rolls the Dice is the latest class in the sinfully funny Catechism series. The convent needs a new roof, so the order has decided to pool their salaries together and send Sister with teaching her certificate in-hand, (along with her extensive gambling experience running the Church Bingo for the last 25 years) to Las Vegas! Sister will tackle topics ranging from Magicians and Show Girls to live animal acts. Her new class will cover the entire history of gambling, as she tries her luck at some Texas Hold’em. She will discuss magic-versus-mysticism in the church, card counting, and the dangers of Pawnshops and drive-through marriage chapels! Sister will remind you that “What happens in Vegas may stay in Vegas”, but God Sees Everything!

Miami City Ballet presents ‘Program II’

Program II will feature a new, world premiere ballet by Liam Scarlett. The Royal Ballet’s most successful young choreographer has accepted a commission from the Miami City Ballet to create his first work for an American company. A coup!!! Program II will also feature: In the Night (Robbins/Chopin) – three stages of love — flirtation, passion and intimacy — are experienced through three glamorous pas de deux, all danced against a star studded night sky to Chopin’s ravishing piano music. The plotless masterpiece Ballet Imperial (Balanchine/Tchaikovsky) pays homage to the spirit and grandeur of imperial St. Petersburg. Balanchine described it as “a contemporary tribute to Petipa, the father of classical ballet, and to Tchaikovsky, his greatest composer.”
