Are you looking to explore the Riverwalk Arts & Entertainment District, but just don’t know where to start? From delightful museums to incredible shopping; from spectacular art exhibitions to a piece of history; from delicious dining to stellar performances — The District offers so many exciting adventures, that we have planned an example of a perfect day of discovery with our “Day at a Glance” itinerary.

Whether you’re a visitor to Fort Lauderdale or a local, the itinerary suggests exciting options for enveloping yourself in the fun-filled culture of this picturesque destination. Perhaps you’d like to experience the beauty of Bonnet House Museum & Gardens, and shop at The Galleria at Fort Lauderdale mall or the Las Olas Sunday Market. Maybe you’re interested in stepping into Italian high fashion with NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale’s exhibition “Bellissima: Italy and High Fashion 1945–1968.”

A trip to The District would not be complete without learning about Fort Lauderdale’s intriguing history at the Fort Lauderdale Historical Society campus. And of course, replenishment is much needed during a day in The District, and the local watering hole Tarpon Bend is one of the many great places to wet your whistle or grab a bite.

What better way is there to end your perfect day in The District than with a world-class performance at Parker Playhouse? This stunning venue, which opened in 1967, is playing host to acclaimed shows including Vanessa Williams, Paula Poundstone and “ABBA the Concert” this spring.

Why do all the work when we have planned your memorable day in The District for you? Follow our itinerary or take it upon yourself to check out all The District has to offer — whatever you do, we hope you will enjoy a perfect day, creating lifetime memories in The District.
