The museum’s new book club features a discussion of “The Diving Bell and the Butterfly: A Memoir of Life in Death” by Jean-Dominique Bauby. The discussion will be followed by a screening of Julian Schnabel’s award-winning film based on Bauby’s memoir of his life following a stroke at age 43 that left him paralyzed him from the neck down, with the blinking of his left eye as the only means by which he communicate.
