Birch Willey, a resident and amateur historian whose family settled in Fort Lauderdale in the late 1800s, shares his personal history of the city up to the opening of the first Las Olas Bridge. This monthly series includes a potluck dinner and the opportunity to mingle with local residents and visitors, in addition to an informative and engaging lecture that highlights a different topic and speaker each month. Admission is complimentary and guests are encouraged to bring a dish to share for the dinner.
