NSU Series Lecture: Dr. Cyril Blavo, Lecture on Kente of Ghana

The elegant tapestry of the hand-woven Kente cloth features the imagination, creativity and skill of native artistry in Ghana. A symbol of beauty, royalty and formality, the origin of the Kente cloth is acclaimed by the Ashanti and Ewe people of Ghana. This presentation by Dr. Cyril Blavo, DO, MPH, & TM, FACOP, will explore the history, art and craft of Kente weaving, along with a demonstration and cultural depiction of the essence of Kente.
