If there is one word that embodies November, it would have to be gratitude. Here at the Riverwalk A&E District, we are deeply grateful to you, our readers, fans and followers who revel in discovering new experiences through the arts. You have applauded our performances, learned through our lectures, discovered our exhibits and shared your experiences. We simply love your enthusiasm and are indebted to your loyalty.

So, what’s new in November? Well, this month, you can share in the magnificent visual and theatrical art of Fort Lauderdale’s first female residents as Seminole artists give us a peek into their culture, see the genius of artist Frank Stella’s prolific 60-year career, listen to one of opera’s greatest masterpieces as “Lucia di Lammermoor” takes the stage, and attend an annual orchid festival that offers garden art, lectures and food demonstrations. And this is just for starters. So, don’t be shy, and help yourself to extra servings of calorie-free cultural happiness this November.

The Riverwalk A&E District was well-represented at the Greater Fort Lauderdale Media Marketplace in New York City on Oct. 12. The event, held in a swanky Soho townhouse, boasted the best of Fort Lauderdale’s cultural hot spots, attractions, restaurants and hotels, heralding all that is new and exciting in the destination to travel media. The Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau created a magical, interactive night for all partners, and The District shared its passion for its upcoming roaster of events that marry culture with great food, wine & spirits.
