This February, we in The District say … talk a little, dance a little, and celebrate a lot! February, known as the unofficial month of love, will have your heart aflutter with so much for you and your valentine to see and experience. Treat your love to a night at the opera, reminiscent of the famous scene in “Pretty Woman” in which Julia Roberts falls in love with both the stage performance and Richard Gere. Perhaps you will want to be a witness to Twyla Tharp’s genius, as 50 years of her dance mastery is on display. Come and celebrate the birthday of one of the great female founders of Fort Lauderdale, Ivy Stranahan. This historic icon represented ideals that resonate today and continue to set a standard for compassion, inclusion and hard work. The month winds down as we “give them something to talk about” at the NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale, as Andy and Christine Hall discuss the works of artist Anselm Kiefer. No matter what you decide to do, you will be sure to fall in love with The District!

As we recently milled around creating unique videos for The District, we happened upon many travelers visiting Fort Lauderdale. This group from the U.K. and Denmark were happy to serve as extras, and help us celebrate all the Riverwalk A&E District has to offer!
